This page demonstrates the complete blog functionality provided with the Blog Core Module. First you will notice that it is not just one module but rather a combination of 5 separate modules that provide all the different parts of the Blog Core Module. The 5 part are View Blog, Search Blog, New Blog, Blog List, and Blog Archive.

The View Blog module is the primary module for the Blog functionality. It displays the content for any action performed within any of the other modules. The View Blog module defaults to displaying all recent entries when it is first accessed. If a user performs a search using the Search Blog module the View Blog module will display the search results. If a user accesses different blogs by selecting them in the Blog List module or Blog Archive module then the View Blog module will display the contents of the selected blog.

The New Blog module allows users to create new blogs, add blog entries, and maintain their entries. This module currently shows the message "You must be logged in and have permission to create or edit a blog" as the capability to add blogs is restricted to particular users. This module can also be hidden from users who are not allowed to add blogs so that this message is not presented.

There are countless settings and capabilities available for this module, too much to mention in this demonstration but the following are just a sample of the key ones. Blogs can be syndicated as an RSS feeds. Allow readers to post comments (with or without approval) about your blog entries. Require CAPTCHA entry for comment postings.
